Didricksons Menswear Now in Stock!
In a recent edition of the Vareys Town & Country blog, we excitedly announced the introduction of an entirely new brand of country clothing to our collection. That brand is Didricksons. The first items of clothing we made available were designed for women but, as we promised in the introductory blog edition, a selection of menswear has now been added to our website!
Didriksons was founded well over a century ago in 1913, the brainchild of a newly-married couple. Julius and Hanna Didrikson had a shared vision of improving safety and comfort for their families, many of whom worked in the fishing industry and thus had to work in demanding and often dangerous conditions on the open ocean.
Though the brand has evolved with the times, today making full use of modern materials and technologies, one thing has not changed: Didriksons garments are still designed and manufactured with a keen focus on high performance in order to protect the wearer from the elements.
We are starting off our Didriksons menswear collection with a superb selection of jackets and coats, which includes:
Didriksons Ikaros Jacket for Him
Effortlessly combining thick, highly-insulating padding (which is made entirely from recycled fibres) with a light weight and water-repellent properties, the Ikaros jacket from Didriksons has it all. The garment is cut to a smart, non-nonsense straight shape and incorporates three generously-sized pockets to ensure that everything you need can be kept safe and close to hand. Showcasing a seasonal Light Moss colour, the Ikaros jacket is available in a full range of sizes from small to XXL.
Didriksons Andreas Parka for Him
Designed to offer the best protection from the Nordic elements, Didriksons' Andreas parka can definitely handle any weather that the UK can produce even in the depths of winter. Completely waterproof and windproof thanks to carefully-taped seams, the garment features several other protective design details including hand-warming pockets and a detachable, zip-fastened hood.
The talented designers at Didriksons certainly haven't sacrificed style in favour of protection though: the Andreas parka incorporates a smart fishtail backdrop and is coloured a rich, fashion-forward Deep Green. In keeping with the brand's strong focus on sustainability, the lining of this superlative garment has been dyed using a cutting-edge 'solution dye' process; this technique saves a massive 80% on water usage in comparison with conventional dyeing.
