Originally a worker's cooperative organisation, the company represented a much-needed source of employment for the area's many highly-skilled craftspeople. The boots and shoes produced by the newly-formed Dubarry brand were specifically designed to be worn in the location's tough climate, offering unrivalled protection on its rough and demanding terrain.
